Joyful Noise Makers
Joyful Noise Makers is a group of senior citizens who have been spreading their message to Nursing Homes and Retirement Centers throughout the Katy area for over 40 years. On behalf of former Katy Mayors Don Elder and Hank Schmidt, the Joyful Noise Makers were presented a Proclamation honoring them for their abiding commitment, faith and service in our community and surrounding areas. The Joyful Noise Makers is made up of members from various churches in the Katy area. They visit 8 nursing homes each month, singing patriotic and old time songs and hymns. This group ventures into the community each Wednesday morning, meeting at First United Methodist Church in the parking lot located at Ave B and 5th Street.
