God's Game Plan
August 22nd is Promotion Sunday for Children's Sunday School. Grages K-5th will celebrate in the Family Life Center 9:45-10:45 am. This will be a fun filled Kick Off to a new school year! Come join the team, meet your teachers and classmates and play games, enjoy food, Cheer for God's Team - our Church, and make fun crafts. You are an All Star on God's Team!
Volunteers Needed - The Children's Ministry has big plans for this Fall. Won't you join us and experience the joy of serving our children? Volunteers are needed to teach Sunday School, substitute teach, lead Jesus & Me during 11:00 Worship, help with special events such as Promotion Sunday on Aug. 22 or the Slime Fest on Oct. 31. We also need donors to underwrite program scholarships and special events. Share your gifts with our children! To volunteer call the Church Office at 281-391-2121. Children are provided a safe, clean environment with age appropriate Methodist Christian curriculum with music and art. Third graders receive Bibles and learn Bible skills. Fourth and Fifth graders explore their world and the Bible with a multimedia curriculum “Live BIG” (Belief in God).
Worship
Children are welcomed into worship each Sunday with a hello and an activity pack to help them understand and enjoy their worship experience.
Children’s Message each Sunday at 8:30 and 11:00 am Worship Services, children come forward for a special age appropriate message.
11:00 Worship: Jesus N Me is a time for children ages 3 years – Kindergarten
Following children’s message children dismiss to Room 112 in the Education Building
on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Sundays for refreshments, story and play.
Children and Missions
Each Season brings a special outreach emphasis for children to grow spiritually through caring, stewardship, and mission giving. We believe that worship, study, fellowship, and service are the building blocks of faith and we are intentional to give our children opportunities, like adults, to learn, grow, share and serve.
Special Events
Each Season brings its own reason to celebrate. We offer engaging age appropriate celebrations throughout the year including a Spring Carnival, Summer Day Camps for Preschool and Elementary Children, Sunday School Fall Kick Off, Children’s Sabbath, and Christmas Programs.
