Lani Rousseau Study with us this Fall at the Tuesday Morning Bible Study, "The Divine Conspiracy" Rediscovering Our Hidden Life in God - Jesus' Master Class for Life by Dallas Willard. In an era when many Christians consider Jesus a beloved but remote Savior, theologian and scholar, Dallas Willard, argues compellingly for the relevance of God to every aspect of our existence. Sunday School (9:45 - 10:45 AM) - Sunday School Coordinator: Les Ann Hernandez We have a wide variety of classes during our Sunday School hour. Some classes are small group format, others use a lecture format taught by knowledgeable individuals called by God, and some share the responsibility of teaching. Why is Sunday School Important? Sunday School is a place where we share real relationships with real people. It's a place where we form faith and share faith! When compared with the worship setting in a church, a Sunday School class is a place where we can get to know people more closely and interact in the lives of others. When we have joys to share - a Sunday school class celebrates with us. When life is more challenging - a Sunday School class is a place where we can ask people to lift us in prayer. Sunday School classes at FUMC have supported members during illness, at the loss of loved ones, during struggles with children, marriages, and all of the other bumps in the road life can bring. Sunday School is a place where we can grow closer to God. Through study and discussion of issues of faith, classes help form us into the disciples of Jesus Christ that we are called to be. They can help us grow clearer about what we believe about God, humanity and the world around us. Sunday School is a place where we can voice our fears, our doubts and our questions among friends in the faith family.
